Allow me to introduce myself, I’m Deacon Ken Gay. I was raised in the Southern Baptist church in the western suburbs of Chicago, at eighteen I started to ask questions about my Baptist faith and about the Catholic faith. By twenty-one, I converted to the one true Catholic and Apostolic Church.

In the spring of 2003, I went on a Catholic men’s retreat that would start me on a path of new discovery, and study of our rich Catholic faith. And in September of 2016, I was ordained a permanent deacon in the Diocese of Rockford, IL.

I was led to form TKG to help pastors connect with their parishioners and help them increase their understanding of their role as disciples and help them to more effectively practice the five precepts of our Catholic faith.

Our goal is to provide whatever level of assistance a pastor needs with the more granular issues and concerns they may have with their flock. Allowing the pastor to address the more substantial challenges and concerns of their day.

In this unusual time, when the majority of parish communities are fragmented and many of its members are so far removed from the minimal habit of fulfilling their Sunday obligation. Immediate steps need to be taken to remind them of the joy of receiving the Eucharist, the peace that comes from reconciliation, and the comradery of community.
